Branding You

It is important for your business to position itself as a brand. Positioning is a marketing strategy that aims to make a brand occupy a specific position in relation to other competing brands, in the mind of the customer. It’s pretty much how you want your brand to be seen in the eyes of others. From a business and personal aspect, your brand is what makes you, you!
In the process of positioning your brand you want to ask yourself a few questions;
• Who are you?
• Who are you catering to?
• What unique value do you provide to them?
• Why should they believe you? (Your proof)

Why is brand positioning important? Positioning your brand allows you to standout from the crowd. It allows you to stay relevant and differentiate yourself from your competitors. It also allows you to stay true to your brand by ensuring every business decision you make supports your brand message.

Too Busy?

In today’s society we often get caught up in our busy schedules. With our daily priorities, we find ourselves being immersed in our emails and text messages looking to meet deadlines. We have become accustomed to multitasking even if it means attending our children’s’ events and staring into our iPhones while doing so. It seem like we’re too busy to even know that we are busy.

Bestselling author Dr. Hallowell writes in an excerpt from his book Crazy Busy, “You can feel like a tin can surrounded by a circle of a hundred powerful magnets,” he writes. “Many people are excessively busy because they allow themselves to respond to every magnet…but it’s the magnet that have the control.”

busy-schedule

With over 40 years in business our full service design and production team has the ability, resources, and experience to transform concepts to reality while considering price, function, and appearance. When you partner with Sharn Enterprises you never have to worry about the details…that’s what we do.

Sell Your Products with an Entertaining Shopping Experience

With malls facing stiff competition from online shopping sites, many malls are adding attractions to entice customers. Entertainment options such as movie theaters, child play areas, gaming rooms, and dining have always been a part of the traditional shopping centers. Many malls have included more complex amusement park like features such as mini golf areas, go kart racing, state of the art movie theaters and skydiving simulators.

The purpose of these attractions are to keep shoppers in the mall longer. Some guests have been known to stay in the mall for a duration of 6 hrs. It is seen that there is a directly proportional relationship between the time and money spent while shopping in stores. The more time that is being spent, more money is being spent as well.

The focus of implementing these entertaining shopping centers comes in response to an increase in competition with online shopping. Popular stores such has Macys have even announced the closing of multiple stores due to the decrease in sales. The goal is to attract shoppers to the mall. The question is, once they make it to the mall, what will make them spend money? It has yet to be seen if these entertainment shopping centers will draw customers to actually shop in the stores. While it is clear that implementing these attractions will draw in the crowd, the key to getting consumers to spend money in your store is to create an eye catching store design. For example, a custom product display is a sure way to get your products sold.

As you can see, the malls are doing their part to attract crowds of shoppers, and of course individual retail stores are aggressively running sale adds to get shoppers in to their stores, so now it’s up to you.

Now that the shoppers are in the store, you want to make sure that your products stand out from those of your completion.  This is where Sharn Enterprises can help you.  We will design and manufacture a custom made display just for you.  One that will not only help get your product noticed, but more importantly get them sold, all at an affordable price!

Protecting your Personal Information | More on Realizing the Value of Your Personal Data

Last week Sharn Enterprises Inc. posted and article about monetizing your personal information. Realizing the Value of Your Personal Data

Everything that you do is valuable. From your thoughts, your words, your identity, your past history, etc. This sensitive data can be collected and used as valuable information for companies. Data such as your browsing history, email conversations, online activity, GPS location, and more is information that has been giving up by consumers in return for free perks such as coupons. The question is, why are consumers giving up our personal data, and allowing someone else to use it for free? Consumers are now beginning to take back ownership of their valuable information and allowing companies and organizations to only use the data in return for monetary rewards.

For years there have been cases where retailers would casually ask for a customer’s phone number or email during checkout. With no hesitation consumers tend to give the information to retailers without even realizing the worth of it. Companies and marketing firms have been gathering information about customers and potential customers for years, collecting their names and addresses, credit card purchases, and asking them to fill out questionnaires, so they can offer discounts and send catalogs. Companies analyze then use this information to offer consumers’ discounts and other product recommendations based off your activity. According to the Financial Times, your general information is worth about $0.0005 to $0.50 per 1,000 people. Which is why data ownership is important.

monetize app

There has recently been an influx in startup companies in which entrepreneurs have allowed consumers to regain data ownership and monetize their personal information. For example, Google Screenwise Trends gives up to $8 cash to anyone willing to share their browsing behavior with Google and its partners. Raptr provides users with free games, hardware, and discounts in return for video gaming habits. With applications like these, companies are able to use the general data, and have the option to pay more for any additional insight if needed.

Think about how much your private information is worth. I recommend that consumers begin to be more hesitant when it comes to giving companies ownership of their personal information. They should take advantage of the data applications that allow them to receive monetary rewards for the things they do on a daily basis. Data ownership will become a revolution in the digital economy for years to come.
