Boo! Happy Halloween!

Halloween is just around the corner! A holiday that originated in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain, which was a celebration at the end of harvest season in Gaelic culture.  It was a time used to take stock of supplies and prepare for winter. The festival involved bonfires, which was believed to have attracted insects, which then attracted bats. Ancient Gaels believed that on October 31st the worlds of the living and dead overlapped causing the deceased to come to life, and cause havoc such a sickness or damage crops. Masks and costumes were worn in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or appease them. So, you can probably envision how this all came together.
